“Battle of the Somm” at Ikanos

The Ikanos restaurant is proud to welcome on Tuesday 27 August the 8th finals of the competition “Battle of the Somm 2019”.

For this 3rd edition, our chef Constant Mentzas is developing a 5-course menu on which Catherine Saint-Germain from “Atletiers & Saveurs” and Arnaud Péquignot from “Les Cavistes” will compete. The objective? Offer you the best wine pairing!

An interactive evening to learn more about wines while delighting your taste buds.

1st COURSE

Fresh Oyster, cucumber, sea asparagus, white wine vinegar

2nd COURSE
Seared scallops, foie gras, celeriac puree, dried apricots and capers salsa

3th COURSE
Josper charcoal grilled Mediterranean Sea bass, tomatoes and zucchinis arrivals from our garden

4th COURSE
Duck magret, Medjool date puree, demi-glace red wine sauce, seared mushrooms

5th COURSE
Olive oil cake, crunchy almond biscuit, lemon gel, almond milk ice cream, lemon balm

On the program:

5:30 pm: Presentation of the sommeliers and the battle of the Somm

7:00 pm: Start of the competition
